Crispy Chicken Wings
These Crispy Chicken Wings are roasted in the oven to crispy perfection coated in a delicious tangy buttery Sauce. The secret ingredient that renders the perfect little crispy Wing is Baking Powder; such a simple addition makes a world of difference.
Chicken Wings are a nutrient dense food; containing more essential nutrients like iron and zinc, as well as collagen, than Chicken Breast.
You’ll need a broiler pan for this dish.
Organic Ingredients, serves 4 but I could eat them all
2 Pounds Chicken Wings, pastured
1 Tsp. Paprika
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
2 Tsps. Celtic Sea Salt
3 Tsps. Baking Powder, aluminum free
Sauce
3/4 Cup Buffalo Wing or BBQ Sauce, I’m partial to Noble Made Buffalo Sauce Mild
3 Tbsps. Unsalted Butter
Method
It’s essential to dry your Wings well! I do this by wrapping a bunch at a time in paper towels, unwrapping and then wrapping again with a clean set of paper towels until dry.
Place dry individual Wings onto a large piece of parchment paper for seasoning. Pat down wings with paper towels one more time to ensure they’re as dry as you can get them. Season evenly with Spices, Baking Powder and Salt.
Place seasoned Wings onto a broiling pan lined with parchment paper underneath (for easier clean up). “Convection Roast” in a 425f oven for 20 minutes. Turn wings over and “Convection Roast” for 20 mins more. Turn wings over again and roast for a final 10-15 minutes.
To make Sauce, heat Buffalo Wing or BBQ sauce stove top until the Butter is melted. Place your Crispy Wings into your Sauce and cook stove top on high heat mixing well while the sauce thickens and coats the wings; one minute.
Serve with Celery Sticks and Blue Cheese dipping sauce.
